Troubleshooting
Delete that copy and download Goodebot again from this official page. A published macOS build should open normally without Terminal commands or a security bypass. If it still fails, report the macOS version and exact message so the release can be corrected.
Confirm the file came from goodebot.net, open More info, review the app name, and use Run anyway only if you trust the verified release.
Confirm the file ends in .vsix and that your Visual Studio Code version is 1.90 or newer. Download the file again if it is incomplete.
Reload Visual Studio Code, then open a folder containing a Goodecode project or run Goodecode: Open Goodecode from the Command Palette.
Use Create or Import in Goodebot and select the project folder or exported .goode package—not an individual Python file.
Reconnect the USB cable, power on the Brain, close other apps using the device, and check Goodebot’s hardware status panel.
Open the build report in Goodebot, correct the first listed validation issue, verify the target slot and device connection, then build again.
That build has not been signed, notarized, and verified yet. Return to this official page for status; do not download Goodebot from unofficial mirrors.
